DESCRIPTION

OEM 1971-74 AMC JAVELIN SST AMX 140MPH Speedometer/TicTach/Gauges in housing with black bezel. This is a nice original take-out AMX Rallye Pac for the 71-74 AMX Javelin SST cars. The speedometer operates smoothly without issue. The clock works properly as well, albeit it is mechanical and subject to the typical points issues. The tach bounces without issue as well, but has not been tested. The oil pressure, temperature, volt, and fuel gauges are all intact and appear to be functional as well - we have not been able to test them. The white plastic housing is in very good condition with only minor patina (yellowing) and all mounting points in tact too. The assembly comes with a nice black bezel as well. On the rear, the original printed circuit board is present, but would ideally be replaced due to age. The voltage regulator was pirated for another unit, so it is missing. There is no lense cover.  To update these, there are decal kits available (as pictured for reference only) that present very nicely once installed and are reasonably inexpensive to procure and easy to install.  The final picture is illustrative of a final installation with all required components in place (not included, but show for reference).

This part presents very well and will enhance your restoration. Best of all, it is a genuine and rare AMC product.

AMX, Javelin, SST with Rallye Pac

Note the Rallye Pac wiring harness under the hood is different than that of the conventional 120MPH cluster; as such, the harness will need to be upgraded to make the unit work properly. The Rallye Pac was available on all three sub-models; each would feature a specific IP bezel featuring engine turn (AMX), woodgrain (SST), or black (Base Javelin).

 

 

FITMENT

 

The assembly will fit factory instrument panels found in 71-74 AMC AMX Javelin SST models. If you are unsure of applications, please inquire first prior to purchase to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.
