1970 MOPAR 383 440 DUAL SNORKEL AIR CLEANER
DESCRIPTION
OEM 1970 Mopar 383/440 Super Commando Magnum Four Barrel Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner. This assembly has been media blasted and refinished in black wrinkle to present a period correct image. The base is in good condition and features the dual snorkels with vacuum doors and new vacuum lines. The base features the 5 1/8" flange that will fit OEM Carter AVS and comes with the correct Mopar air cleaner service decal. The inside surfaces have been finished to prevent the typical surface rust that unfinished factory units were susceptible to.
The lid is in good condition and accepts the engine pie pan; it has a minor bend in one area - hard to see once installed, but mentioned for clarity. Note that the wrinkle finish contains typical variations to match that of the factory production methods. A "Made in Canada" stamp has been added to the base and lid as a nice touch of authenticity. A new vintage heavy duty air filter and period correct wing nut are included to complete the assembly.
The assembly is complemented with a new reproduction Mopar licensed pie pan, period correct wing nut. It comes with the 383 Super Commando: others available include 383 Road Runner Engine, 440 Magnum or 440 Super Commando pie pan (please inquire prior to purchase, as most are subject to availability). Please include this information in a note to seller, otherwise the 383 Super Commando will be included.

FITMENT
The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Carter AVS carburetors or others with the 5 1/8" flange (as well as most Edelbrock/Holley/Carter AVS carburetors with the 5 1/8" flange). If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.
