1970-77 TRANS AM FORMULA FIREBIRD CAMARO 8 TRACK PLAYER OEM

DESCRIPTION

OEM 1970-76 Pontiac Trans Am Formula Firebird Chevrolet Camaro SS RS Console 8 Track Player.  This part is an original survivor in very nice condition and presents as an original in appearance. The exterior surround is very nice with good chrome edges, while the black displays nicely. The original knobs are in good condition and have all of the mounting tabs/springs in place. The PROGRAM button is clean and legible, while the spring loaded 8 track door is clean without pitting (very slight patina is visible). The unit comes with two side mounting brackets, as well as the bottom bracket that attaches to the console.

The original wiring harness coming out from the assemble is in tact. The connection that goes from the 8 track to the radio is a long length and has a terminal block connector in place of the original - this allows for connection to a car that may have a different radio, or splice into the existing radio connection as required.

As with all 8 tracks, the major fail point is the belt - they dry out. This unit should be ideally serviced with a replacement belt prior to installation; it did test out to work mechanically.

This part presents well and will replace the incorrect/missing piece for your restoration. Best of all, it is a genuine GM part!
