DESCRIPTION

 

OEM 1970-72 Oldsmobile 350 oval Air Cleaner. The assembly has been refinished in low-gloss black to present a period correct image. The oval snorkel with the formed oval end (as opposed to smaller unit with pressed on end fitting) is in good condition and features a fully functional ThermAC pre-heater along with new white striped vacuum lines. The base is clean and comes with a correct air temperature sensor (ATS) installed with the correct retainer.  The exterior features a GM licensed reproduction Air Cleaner Service Decal that replaces the originally located decal.  As an added measure, an original date stamp has been recreated to add a nice touch of authenticity. This assembly is specific to 1970-72 350/455 cars due to the location of the filter breather outlet and snorkel.

 

An OEM lid enhances the assembly and features an original seal.To complete the package, a new heavy duty air filter, along with an original breather filter tube grommet, and period correct wing nut are included. To add further distinction, a GM licensed 350 Rocket decal has been installed and complements the assembly. 

This assembly is in good condition and will enhance your restoration. 

Best of all, it is a genuine GM part! 

NOTE: This assembly was in our shop during Hurricane Irma. As such, it may have minor scuffs/scratches, but nothing major. It is sold as pictured, but we wanted to ensure this detail was mentioned. We have priced it to sell - this will help us with our equipment and supply requirements in order to get back to regular operations.

This assembly is correct for the following 1970-72 350 / 455 models:

Oldsmobile

Cutlass, Cutlass Supreme, Rallye 350, Vista Cruiser, Cutlass Supreme, Delta 88, Regency 98

 

FITMENT

 

The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Quadrajet carburetors with a 5 1/8" diameter flange, as well as Holley (non-double pumpers), Carter, and Edelbrock variations without electric choke (some adjustment to the carburetor alignment tangs may be required). If you have modified your carburetor, intake manifold or valve covers, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.

WARRANTY

This assembly is guaranteed to match the item description – customers have up to 14 days to return the assembly after receipt if it is not as described.

 

RETURNS

Assemblies must be returned in the original packing – customers are responsible for return shipping charges. A refund will be issued upon receipt of the inspected assembly. Returns for non-fitment will not be honored – please ask questions first.

 

CLAIMS

In the event of shipping damage, customers must save all packaging and send 5 digital pictures so Musclecar Air Cleaners can initiate a shipping damage claim.
