DESCRIPTION

OEM 1970-72 Chevrolet Corvette 454 LS5 365HP Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner. This assembly has been media blasted and refinished in the correct semi-gloss black finish to present a period correct image. The base features dual snorkels that are in excellent condition, along with an original GM stamped spark arrestor screen, new heavy duty air filter, and a recreated date stamp. The exterior features an NOS  Air Cleaner Service Decal (CR=70). The dual snorkel air cleaner is specific to original 70-72 cars with the LS5 and closed air cleaner element. 

The beautiful chrome-plated reproduction lid is an excellent addition to the assembly and features a new seal to ensure correct sealing. To complete the package, a GM licensed Turbo-Jet  454/365 Horsepower decal is included (loosely installed for the buyer to install); an optional set of 454 Cross Flags and 390 Turbo Jet decals are available for the 70 models. The assembly is topped off with a period correct wing nut. As an option, the LT1 350/300HP Turbo-Fire decal is available if requested.

APPLICATIONS

This assembly is correct for the following models:

Corvette LS5 454, LT1 350

The assembly is correct for cars equipped with big blocks; it will also fit the LT1 350 as well with a change of the decal (available if requested). 

Note that this is the smaller 15 1/8" air cleaner - not the larger 17 1/8" Z28 style air cleaners currently reproduced.

FITMENT

The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Quadrajet carburetors with a 5 1/8" diameter flange, as well as most Holley (not double pumpers), Carter, and Edelbrock variations (some adjustment to the spark arrestor tube and/or carburetor alignment tangs may be required). Fits both A/C and non A/C cars.If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.

WARRANTY

RETURNS

Assemblies must be returned in the original packing – customers are responsible for return shipping charges. A refund will be issued upon receipt of the inspected assembly. Returns for non-fitment will not be honored – please ask questions first.
