OEM 1970-71 Buick GS Ram Air Air Cleaner Assembly in very good condition. This assembly has been refinished to the original look of the 1970-71 cars featuring the four barrel Ram Air air cleaners. The base features a very clean interior, correct Air Temperature Sensor, Dual snorkel inlets featuring new white-striped vacuum lines, GM licensed air cleaner service decal, and a new breather filter. A new reproduction chrome lid augments the overall image, adding more pop to your engine compartment. The assembly is completed by adding a heavy duty air filter and period correct chrome wing nut. A previous repair was made to the passenger side snorkel and a smaller trap door was installed; this does not effect performance or image, but is mentioned for clarity.

The Ram Air fiberglass adapter piece is in excellent conditionl. All prior finishes were removed, then the parts were coated to resemble the factory gelcoat finish. The bottom cups are complete and intact. As an exceptionally nice value, an orginal GM embossed (raised) GS 400 decal is installed on the Ram Air adapter, adding a nice touch of originality. To complement the entire assembly, a reproduced date code has been added. New correct foams are installed via the factory methodology as well, ensuring fresh air is channeled from the hood adapters in through the Ram Air assembly.

As an added value, an original plastic formed pre-heater elbow - replete with Wittik tower clamp - is included to make installation more complete.

This assembly is in very nice condition and will enhance your restoration. Best of all, it is a rare and Genuine GM part!

Regal Gran Sport/GS with the 400 / 455 engines

Note: this will also fit the 69 models - reversal of the valve covers will be required to accommodate the air breather filter location correctly. 72 models featured a triangulated driver's side cup to allow for the air pump - a visual and functional difference.

FITMENT

This assembly will fit factory 4 barrel carburetors with the 5 1/8" flange (Quadrajet). If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.
