OEM 1970-71 Buick GS Ram Air Air Cleaner Assembly in very good condition. This assembly has been refinished to the original look of the 1970-71 cars featuring the four barrel Ram Air carburetors. The base features a clean interior with drains, correct Air Temperature Sensor, Dual snorkel inlets featuring new white-striped vacuum lines, GM licensed air cleaner service decal, and a new breather filter. An original lid augments the factory image, retaining the classic understated look. The assembly is completed with a heavy duty air filter and period correct wing nut. There is a small indentation on the rear of the carburetor flange - out of sight once installed with no effect on installation (mentioned for clarity).

The Ram Air fiberglass adapter piece is in nice condition. All prior finishes were removed, then the parts were coated to resemble the factory gelcoat finish. The bottom cups are complete and intact. As an exceptionally nice value, an orginal GM embossed (raised) GS 400 decal is included on the Ram Air adapter, adding a nice touch of originality; a reproduction 455 is available if requested. To complement the entire assembly, a reproduced date code has been added. New correct foams are installed via the factory methodology as well, ensuring fresh air is channeled from the hood adapters in through the Ram Air assembly.

As an added value, an original plastic formed pre-heater elbow - replete with Wittik tower clamp and new pre-heater hose - is included to make installation more complete.

Regal Gran Sport/GS with the 400 / 455 engines

Note: this will also fit the 69 models - reversal of the valve covers will be required to accommodate the air breather filter location correctly. 72 models featured a triangulated driver's side cup to allow for the air pump - a visual and functional difference.

FITMENT

This assembly will fit factory 4 barrel carburetors with the 5 1/8" flange (Quadrajet). If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.
