1970 383 / 440 Mopar Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner
OEM 1970 Mopar 383 / 440 Magnum Four Barrel Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner. This assembly has been media blasted and refinished in black wrinkle to present a period correct image. The base is in very nice condition and features the dual snorkels with vacuum doors and new vacuum lines. The base features the 5 1/8" flange that will fit OEM Carter AVS and Thermoquads and comes with the correct Mopar licensed air cleaner service decal. The inside surfaces have been finished to prevent the typical surface rust that unfinished factory units were susceptible to and show the factory stamping striations through the finish.
The lid is in very nice condition and accepts the engine pie pan. Note that the wrinkle finish contains typical variations to match that of the factory production methods. A "Made in Canada" stamp has been added to the base and lid as a nice touch of authenticity. A new heavy duty air filter and period correct wing nut are included to complete the assembly.
The assembly is complemented with a choice of (1) a new reproduction Mopar licensed pie pan (383 Magnum or 383 Road Runner Engine as shown), period correct wing nut, and a licensed Mopar reproduction Air Cleaner Service Decal. Note: this assembly will fit a wide array of Mopars from 1970-74; due to the snorkel design, it is only correct for 1970 models.
FITMENT
The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Carter AVS carburetors or others with the 5 1/8" flange (as well as Edelbrock/Holley/Carter AVS carburetors with the 5 1/8" flange). If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.
