DESCRIPTION

OEM 1970 1/2 -72 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 350/360HP Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner. This assembly has been media blasted and refinished in mid-gloss black finish to present a period correct image. The base features Z/28 specific dual snorkels that are in good condition, along with a new heavy duty air filter, correct style replacement stainless mesh flame arrestor screen, and PVC tube. The points clearance is correct for an original piece, as are the spot welds on the snorkel corners where they were attached to the base and the ridged interior base. The snorkels are in overall nice condition and present well-they feature typical factory bends on the end lips. Also, there are no notches on them - these are factory installed and supports the earlier version. A recreated date stamp has been added back in to mirror the late 70 1/2 introduction of the 2nd gen F-bodies (due to the strike-shortened year and GMs desire to release the car at that time). The exterior features a reproduction Air Cleaner Service Decal (CU) that replaced the originally removed ACSD. The dual snorkel air cleaner is specific to original 70 1/2 - 72 cars, but will fit many other models as well.  

The new reproduction chrome-plated reproduction lid is a nice addition to the assembly and features a new seal to ensure correct sealing. A 350/360 Turbo-Fire decal is included to complement the engine. To complete the package, the assembly is topped off with a period correct wing nut.

This assembly is correct for the following models:

Camaro Z28 350 4V with Points; fits both 4 Speed and Automatic transmission models

Note that this is the larger 17 1/8" air cleaner - not the smaller 15 1/8" Corvette style air cleaners currently reproduced for the 70-72 models. 

FITMENT

The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Holley / Quadrajet carburetors with a 5 1/8" diameter flange, as well as most Holley, Carter, and Edelbrock variations (some adjustment to the carburetor alignment tangs may be required). Fits both A/C and non A/C cars.If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.

RETURNS

Assemblies must be returned in the original packing – customers are responsible for return shipping charges. A refund will be issued upon receipt of the inspected assembly. Returns for non-fitment will not be honored – please ask questions first.
