1969 PONTIAC GTO FIREBIRD GRAND PRIX 400 DUAL SNORKEL AIR CLEANER
DESCRIPTION
OEM 1969 Pontiac GTO The Judge 400 Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner. The assembly has been refinished in low gloss black to present a period correct image. The base features the dual oval snorkels in good condition with functional ThermAC vacuum valves, breather filter replete with ribbed GM stamped adapter, new and original white-striped vacuum lines, correct air temperature sensor, and a new heavy duty air filter. An original style date stamp has been added as a further measure of originality. The exterior features a GM licensed reproduction air cleaner service decal. The base features the correct drop required for the GTO, as well as the 5 1/8" carburetor flange designed to work with factory Rochester Quadrajets. The overall finish is good, but not perfect.
An original classic black lid with seal retains the OEM appearance. To complete the package, a period correct wing nut & new filter breather with GM stamped adapter are included. As an added enhancement, a GM licensed Pontiac 400-4 decal is included (loosely installed - to be permanently installed at new owner's discretion).
An optional chrome lid is available if preferred - please let us know with your order.
This assembly is in good condition and will enhance your restoration. Best of all, it is a genuine GM part!
NOTE: This assembly was in our shop during Hurricane Irma. As such, it may have minor scuffs/scratches, but nothing major. It is sold as pictured, but we wanted to ensure this detail was mentioned. We have priced it to sell - this will help us with our equipment and supply requirements in order to get back to regular operations.

This assembly is correct for the following 1969 models:
Pontiac
GTO/The Judge with 400-4 / 455-4 Pontiac Non-HO/Ram Air Engines
Grand Prix 400
Firebird 400
1970 - while this assembly will fit 70 models, the primary difference is in the design featuring the vent tube near the carburetor flange and a slightly wider snorkel pattern. It will also fit 68 400s, but is not correct for this year model.
This assembly will not fit the 70-72 Pontiac Firebird / Formula / Trans Am due to the shallower drop; F-bodies required a deep drop center and angled flange for proper hood clearance.
FITMENT
The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Quadrajet carburetors with a 5 1/8" diameter flange, as well as most Holley (it will NOT fit double pumpers; i.e. models 4150/4160), Carter/Edelbrock variations without an electric choke (some adjustment to the carburetor alignment tangs may be required). If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.

RETURNS
Assemblies must be returned in the original packing – customers are responsible for return shipping charges. A refund will be issued upon receipt of the inspected assembly. Returns for non-fitment will not be honored – please ask questions first.
CLAIMS
In the event of shipping damage, customers must save all packaging and send 5 digital pictures so Musclecar Air Cleaners can initiate a shipping damage claim.
