1969 Mopar 440 Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner
OEM 1969 Mopar 383/440 Four Barrel Magnum Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner. This assembly has been media blasted and refinished in black wrinkle to present a period correct image. The top is in excellent condition and features the dual snorkels along with the vent tube on the driver's side (with CAP) and correct clearance indentations. The base features the 5 1/8" flange (Carter AVS) specific to 69 models and a new reproduction Mopar seal - again, in excellent condition. The inside surfaces have been finished to prevent the typical surface rust that unfinished factory units were susceptible to. A new heavy duty air filter and period correct wing nut are included to complete the assembly. Note that the finish of the wrinkle paint is as close a match as that of the factory production methods. A "Made in Canada" stamp has been added to the base and lid as a nice touch of authenticity.

As an added value, the assembly is complemented with a choice of (one ) new reproduction Mopar licensed pie pan and a licensed Mopar reproduction Air Cleaner Service Decal. Select your choice of (one) 440 Magnum or 440 Super Commando pie pans - add a note to the seller with your preference (subject to availability). If no note is provided, the 440 Magnum pie pan will be included.
Note the last picture is of a true survivor CAP model with the same air cleaner. CAP, or Clean Air Protection, was required in California (and likely New York), while unsilenced air cleaners were more commonly found in most areas.
If you don't need the pie pan, please state so with your offer.

FITMENT
The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Carter AVS carburetors or others with the 5 1/8" flange (as well as Edelbrock/Holley/Carter AVS carburetors with the 5 1/8" flange). If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.
