1969-73 PONTIAC GTO TRANS AM 400 455 PRE-HEATER SHROUD HEAT RISER

DESCRIPTION

OEM 1969-73 Pontiac 400/455 Pre-heater Exhaust Manifold Stove.  This part has been media blasted to a new presentation in natural aluminum and covered with high heat clear. Made of aluminum, it is both lightweight and structurally ready to install and present an original fitment and appearance. All bolt holes are clean and all reinforcement areas are solid.  There is only minor pitting on the inside, out of sight once installed. This piece fits prominently on top of the driver side of the engine and is readily visible - a point that makes finding a very nice original piece very important for a nice restoration. This allows connection to the bottom of the air cleaner snorkel via a 2" pre-heater tube (not included, but referenced).

This fits 1969-73 Pontiac 400/455  engines originally installed in Firebird/GTOs non-Ram Air III exhaust manifolds.

This part is in very nice condition and will replace the incorrect/missing piece for your restoration. Best of all, it is a genuine GM part!

APPLICATIONS

This assembly is suitable for the following 1969-73 models:

Pontiac

Firebird / Trans Am / GTO / LeMans with 400/455 Pontiac engine without Ram Air III exhaust manifolds. It will work with both single and dual snorkel air cleaner assemblies when connected to the pre-heater tube (not included).

*It will also fit 350-455 Pontiac engines transplanted into cars as well. 

FITMENT

The assembly will fit factory non-Ram Air III exhaust manifolds using the cylinder head bolts to retain it for the period indicated. Some adjustment (i.e. drilling/tapping) may be required for installation within the correct year of car but on a different year of engine.

WARRANTY

This assembly is guaranteed to match the item description – customers have up to 14 days to return the assembly after receipt if it is not as described.

RETURNS

Assemblies must be returned in the original packing – customers are responsible for return shipping charges. A refund will be issued upon receipt of the inspected assembly. Returns for non-fitment will not be honored – please ask questions first.
