DESCRIPTION

 

OEM 1968-71 Chevrolet Chevelle/Camaro/Nova/El Camino/Malibu SS 396/350HP Open Element Air Cleaner. This assembly has been media blasted and refinished in the correct laquer black finish to present a period correct image. The deep drop base is in excellent condition and correctly features the 90 degree OEM flame arrestor tube. On the inside, the original GM stamped 4 dimpled flame arrestor adds the correct function and image, as well as the original Quadrajet/Holley alignment tangs. 

 

A choice of lids accompanies the base. An original black lid; an original 427 survivor lid replete with air cleaner service instructions on the bottom; a new reproduction lid with either curved or straight silk-screened service instructions on inside. Each comes with a choice of decals to include GM licensed 396/350 Turbo-Jet, 427/450 Turbo Jet depending upon your selection (we have just about every factory style Turbo-Jet HP, so if you need a different one, please let us know).  To complete the package, an exceptionally nice A212CW square mesh air filter and period correct wing nut are included. 

 

This assembly is in nice condition and will enhance your restoration. Best of all, it is a genuine GM part!

Many of our parts are available only once - we cannot predict if/when another will become available due to the scarcity of original parts. The old adage "here today, gone tomorrow" applies to many of these unique assemblies. While we strive to maintain a strong diversity of desirable parts, there simply aren't enough available to meet demand at times.

FITMENT

 

The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Quadrajet carburetors with a 5 1/8" diameter flange, as well as Holley (non double-pumper), Carter, and Edelbrock variations without electric choke (some adjustment to the carburetor alignment tangs may be required). If you have modified your carburetor, intake manifold, or valve covers, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.

WARRANTY

This assembly is guaranteed to match the item description – customers have up to 14 days to return the assembly after receipt if it is not as described.

 

RETURNS

Assemblies must be returned in the original packing – customers are responsible for return shipping charges. A refund will be issued upon receipt of the inspected assembly. Returns for non-fitment will not be honored – please ask questions first.

 

CLAIMS

In the event of shipping damage, customers must save all packaging and send 5 digital pictures so Musclecar Air Cleaners can initiate a shipping damage claim.
