1968-69 MOPAR 340 OEM UNSILENCED AIR CLEANER DART GTS 'CUDA
1968-69 OEM Mopar 340 Four Barrel Unsilenced Air Cleaner. This assembly is an original survivor that has been touched up to present as original to the greatest extent possible. The exterior remains as painted by the factory, meaning the wrinkle paint is flat and blotchy - just the way it left the showroom floor. It comes with a new Mopar Air Cleaner Service Decal and driver side vent tube. The interior was updated with black laquer paint, mirroring the factory finish. It retains signs of use on the interior, but presents authentically. The lid features a new reproduction Mopar 340 Four Barrel pie pan* to augment your engine displacement.
The original base is in good condition and features a 5 1/8" carburetor flange that fits the Carter AVS carburetors. The surfaces reflect the stamping process, as well as the same signs of use on both the top and bottom of the piece. Note there are three small indexing holes within the carburetor flange - not visible, but mentioned for clarity. To complete the assembly, a new heavy duty air filter and period correct wing nut are included.
The wrinkle finish is nice - it features typical surface characteristics of the factory finish.
This assembly presents well and will enhance your restoration - it is a great candidate for an original survivor car, or will present nicely on a restored car too.

It will fit A/B/C/E-body cars ranging from 68-74 as well with the larger carburetor flange, but is only correct for 1968-69.
FITMENT
The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel carburetors (Carter AVS) with a 5 1/8" diameter flange to include Holley, Carter, and Edelbrock variations. If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.
