DESCRIPTION

OEM 1968-76 Pontiac 350 400 455 Air Cleaner Breather Tube. This is an original 50+ year-old breather tube specific to the 68-76 350 HO/400/455 models that has been media blasted to bare metal, then refinished to a nice finish.  It retains the correct curvature required for the Pontiac engines featuring the larger 17 5/8" diameter air cleaners that connects from the valve cover to the air cleaner base. It retrains an original ribbed rubber breather hose adapter on the top of the tube that in turn connects to the breather filter on the side of the air cleaner (not included).

This piece presents very well and will enhance your restoration. Best of all, it is a genuine GM part!

APPLICATIONS

This assembly is correct for the following models:

1968-76 Pontiac with 350 / 400 /455 engines and the large diameter air cleaner and either oval or dual snorkels:

Trans Am Formula GTO Grand Ville Grand Prix Bonneville Firebird 350 400 455 SD Lemans

This part is for cars equipped with Pontiac 350 / 400 / 455 engines with shaker or closed air cleaner assemblies. 

Note: This part differs slightly from the 74-76 air cleaner tubes in the shape of the insert into the valve cover and the angle to which it attaches to the air cleaner base. The later L78 and W72 engines feature a straight pipe with a bend since the orientation of the breather inlet is centered with the valve cover outlet.

FITMENT

The assembly will fit factory original 68-76 OEM valve cover to air cleaner systems. If you have modified your valve covers or air cleaner, or if you are unsure of fitment, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.

WARRANTY

This assembly is guaranteed to match the item description – customers have up to 14 days to return the assembly after receipt if it is not as described.

RETURNS

Assemblies must be returned in the original packing – customers are responsible for return shipping charges. A refund will be issued upon receipt of the inspected assembly. Returns for non-fitment will not be honored – please ask questions first.

CLAIMS

In the event of shipping damage, customers must save all packaging and send 5 digital pictures so Musclecar Air Cleaners can initiate a shipping damage claim. This item is shipped insured for all destinations.
