DESCRIPTION

OEM 1967 Pontiac Firebird GTO 400 closed element air cleaner. This part has been refinished to the original look of the 1967 cars featuring the California emissions requirements A.I.R. (Air Injection Reactance) for both the GTO and Firebird 400 models. The base features a very clean interior with short oval snorkel and is complemented with a new heavy duty air filter, new valve cover breather filter with clip, and reproduction GM licensed air cleaner service decal (1967 California specific). 

 A new reproduction chrome lid with new seal completes the assembly - augmented with a period correct wing nut. 
Note that the A.I.R. tube can be capped off if your engine doesn't feature the provision any longer. 

As an added value, a Pontiac 400-4 decal has been added (loosely installed) to augment the engine compartment.

This assembly presents well and remains an excellent choice to enhance your restoration. Best of all, it is a Genuine GM part!

APPLICATIONS

This assembly is correct for the following:

1967 Pontiac

Firebird & GTO featuring the high performance 400 4 Barrel engines with the California A.I.R. emissions; it will fit all 67 Firebird/GTO 4 barrel models as well. 

The following image is an example of a 67 GTO with the closed element assembly installed. Note the air pump at the front top left of the engine between the A/C compressor and radiator inlet hose.

FITMENT

This assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Quadrajet carburetors with a 5 1/8" diameter flange, as well as Holley (non-double pumpers), Carter, and Edelbrock variations. If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.

RETURNS

Assemblies must be returned in the original packing- customers are responsible for return shipping charges. A refund will be issued upon receipt of the inspected assembly. Returns for non-fitment will not be honored-please aske questions first.

CLAIMS

In the event of shipping damage, customers must save all packaging and send 5 digital pictures so Muscle Car Air Cleaners can initiate a shipping damage claim.
