DESCRIPTION

1964 L33  409/340HP Impala SS Chrome Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner. This is a very good customized L33 409 dual snorkel assembly we took in on trade. The assembly features the ridged base that retains the 4 1/8" carburetor flange that fits Carter AFB and Rochester equivalents. The top has been modified - it appears a second snorkel was added sometime in the past - not so evident from the exterior, but visible from the interior where it mounts.  The remainder of the inside is clean and still retains the correct style air deflector baffles.  

A  409/340 Cross Flags decal was installed and adds a nice touch. 

The assembly presents well and will augment your restoration. If it was an original piece, the price would be reflected accordingly. As such, no returns for this unit, so please review the pictures.

APPLICATIONS

 

This assembly is correct for the following:

Chevrolet

1962-64 - 409/340 L33 Horsepower Impala SS (technically for the 64 only, but works on the 62-63)

It will both work and look correct on many other models to include earlier L79 cars (single four barrel only), Impala SS cars, and 283/327/350/383 engines in a similar vintage era car.

FITMENT

 

The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Carter/Rochester carburetors with a 4 1/8" diameter flange; it won't fit the larger style 5 1/8" flanges found on Holley, Carter, and Edelbrock variations. If you have modified your carburetor, intake manifold, or valve covers, please inquire first prior to purchase to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.

RETURNS

Assemblies must be returned in the original packing – customers are responsible for return shipping charges. A refund will be issued upon receipt of the inspected assembly. Returns for non-fitment will not be honored – please ask questions first.
