1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 150 210 283 2 Barrel Oil Bath Air Cleaner w/Carburetor
1957 Chevrolet 283 2V Oil Bath Air Cleaner. This assembly has been media blasted and refinished in a period correct gloss black. The base is very nice and fits correctly on the Rochester 2V carburetor. The exterior is smooth and features the correct indentations specfic to the 57 2V cars (very different from the 55-56 and 58 bases). The interior is clean and comes with a factory oil bath insert - cleaned to factory specifications.
The "space ship" lid is very nice as well an comes with a correct oil bath cleaner instruction decal; there are minor surface anomalies on top - hard to see once installed, but mentioned for clarity. The dual inlets are straight and the lid fits nicely on the base. It is completed with a period correct wing nut.
A factory 2 Jet Rochester carburetor - replete with wing nut stud - is included. All parts move freely and it previously was rebuilt - recommend a new kit installed prior to use.
This assembly is in overall very nice condition and will enhance your restoration. Best of all, it is a genuine GM part!
