1969-70 MOPAR 440 N96 AIR GRABBER AIR CLEANER GTX ROAD RUNNER CORONET R/T
1969-70 Mopar 440 Four Barrel Air Grabber Air Cleaner assembly. The original base has been modified by removing the surrounding flange that mounts to the air grabber system. It features the 4 barrel Carter AVS 5 1/8" carburetor flange and original cross bar. The base has surface rust, but is very solid. The edges where the modifications were completed are fairly straight and will clean up with a little effort.
The lid appears to be an original that at one time was rechromed. It features flaws and patina - a real world example of 70's modifications. Includes a pair of original wing nuts as well.
Please note that while this is specific to the 440 models, it will fit just about every Mopar since the drop height is shorter than the B-deck 383 models.
The assembly comes complete with an original Fram CA332V perforated filter (full of years of patina) is included to make the assembly ready to install.
This assembly is in good driver condition. Best of all, it is a very rare (but unfortunately modified) and genuine original Mopar part!

This assembly will fit a myriad of A/B/C bodies without the Air Grabber/Ram Charger fresh air systems. Please inquire if you are unsure of fitment options.
Note: the base is specific to the RB deck engines (413/426/440) due to the height of the carburetor flange. It will fit 340 LA & 383/400 B deck engines, but due to the difference in height at the flange (sits too low) and modifications, will not correctly seal to the Air Grabber fresh air box.
Due to the modified state of this assembly, it is sold "AS IS" with no returns - please be sure it is what you want before you buy it.
FITMENT
The assembly will fit factory Carter AVS 4 barrel carburetors with a 5 1/8" diameter flange and others to include Holley, Carter, and Edelbrock variations without electric choke (some adjustment to the tangs may be necessary). If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.
