1974 CHEVROLET Z28 DUAL SNORKEL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
DESCRIPTION
OEM 1974 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 350 HEI Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner Assembly. This assembly was taken in as a direct trade. The base has the short dual snorkels exclusive to the Z28 and the HEI ignition coil indentation (points featured a smaller indentation in the rear), along with a new heavy duty air filter, new breather filter, and a recreated date stamp. We addded a replacement Air Cleaner Service Decal (DY=74) that was specific for the later mid-year HEI assemblies. The dual snorkel air cleaner is specific to original 74 cars, but will fit many other models as well to include 70-73. Note that it will also fit the earlier 74 points distributor as well, but is technically incorrect. The lid is an OEM chrome survivor - in overall good condition with minor patina.

APPLICATIONS
This assembly is correct for the following models:

Camaro Z28 350 with/without HEI for both 4 Speed and Automatic transmissions
Note that this is the smaller 15 1/8" air cleaner - not the larger 17 1/8" Z28 style air cleaners currently reproduced for the 70-72 models. It also differs from the Corvette assemblies by way of omittance of notches near the breather filter (cowl flange retention) and shorter snorkels than found on the C4 air cleaners.
FITMENT
The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Quadrajet carburetors with a 5 1/8" diameter flange, as well as most Holley (not double pumpers), Carter, and Edelbrock variations (some adjustment to the carburetor alignment tangs may be required). Fits both A/C and non A/C cars.If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.
