1969-70 Mopar 383 Air Grabber N96 Air Cleaner Assembly
1969-70 Mopar 383 Super Commando / 383 Magnum four barrel Air Grabber Air Cleaner assembly. The original base has been media blasted and refinished in the correct semi-gloss black finish to present a period correct image. The base is in nice condition with a very clean carburetor flange featuring both factory alignment tangs. The original lid retaining bar and studs are excellent as well. The exterior seal flange features typical factory stamping waves and the correct oil filter breather inlet tube on the driver's rear side. A "Made in Canada" stamp has been added as a further measure of authenticity. Please note that this is specific to the 383 models - the center lid bar measures under 3 3/8" from the base to the top of the bar - 440 base plates measured 2 7/8" due to the higher deck height of the RB engines.
The original lid is nice as well and is garnished with a Mopar Licensed air cleaner service decal. The inside has a "Made in Canada" stamp to further the level of authenticity. The top is installed with the included pair of period correct wing nuts. The "Coyote Duster" decal adds a very nice touch and enhances the overal image.
To complete the assembly, a new K&N high performance air filter is included to make the assembly ready to install.
This assembly is in very good condition and will enhance your restoration. Best of all, it is a genuine original Mopar part!
Note that reproduction units are available as a cost-effective alternative via other means. Other auctions feature a varying degree of costs for individual components like the base, lid, and filter - original parts are far more difficult to find - hence the higher costs.

This assembly will fit a myriad of A/B/C bodies without the Air Grabber/Ram Charger fresh air systems. Please inquire if you are unsure of fitment options.
Note: the base is specific to the B deck engines (383/400) due to the height of the carburetor flange. It will fit not 340 LA & 440 RB deck engines due to the difference in height at the flange (sits too low).
FITMENT
The assembly will fit factory Carter AVS 4 barrel carburetors with a 5 1/8" diameter flange and others to include Holley, Carter, and Edelbrock variations without electric choke (some adjustment to the tangs may be necessary). If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.
