1968-79 GM CHEVROLET PONTIAC PRE-HEATER BLACK ALUMINIZED TUBE OEM LOOK

DESCRIPTION

OEM 1968-79 Chevrolet 396 400 402 454 Pontiac 350 400 455 Pre-heater Exhaust Manifold Stove Tube.  This is a very nice black aluminized tube that connects from the pre-heater stove to the 90 degree elbow on the bottom of the air cleaner snorkel. It features the correct diameter and spirals which allow it to fit onto both the smooth surface of the stove, as well as screw onto the 90 degree elbow adapter that in turn assembles to the bottom of the snorkel. This is designed for all Pontiacs and Chevrolet big blocks from 68-79. This piece sits prominently on top of the driver side of the engine and is readily visible - a point that makes using the correct style important for function and aesthetics. 

This part presents well and will replace the incorrect/missing piece for your restoration.

APPLICATIONS

This assembly is correct for the following 1968-79 models:

Pontiac

Firebird / Trans Am / GTO / LeMans / Catalina / Bonneville / Grand Prix with 350/400/455 Pontiac engine. It will work with both single and dual snorkel air cleaner assemblies when connected to the pre-heater tube on the bottom of the air cleaner.

Chevrolet

Camaro / Chevelle / Impala / Monte Carlo / all SS models when featuring a 396/400/402/454 Big Block (all small blocks use either a metal tube or silver aluminized smaller tube).

FITMENT

The assembly will fit factory air cleaner elbows and stoves for the period indicated.
