1968-69 PONTIAC GTO FIREBIRD GRAND PRIX 400 PRE-HEATER STOVE SHROUD
DESCRIPTION
OEM 1968-69 Pontiac 350/400 Preheater Exhaust Manifold Stove. This part has been media blasted to a new presentation in natural aluminum and covered with high heat clear. Made of aluminum, it is both lightweight and structurally ready to install and present an original fitment and appearance. All bolt holes are clean and all reinforcement areas are solid. There is no wear on any surfaces, nor any indications of damage either. This piece fits prominantly on top of the driver side of the engine and is readily visible - a point that makes finding a very nice original piece very important for a nice restoration. This allows connection to the bottom of the air cleaner snorkel via a 2" pre-heater tube (not included, but referenced).
This fits 1968-69 Pontiac 350/400 engines originally installed in Firebird/GTOs without the Ram Air exhaust manifolds.
This part is in very in nice condition and will replace the incorrect/missing piece for your restoration. Best of all, it is a genuine GM part!

APPLICATIONS
This assembly is correct for the following 1968-69 models:
Pontiac
Firebird / Trans Am / GTO / LeMans with 350/400 Pontiac engine; Catalina/Bonneville/Grand Prix with 350/400 engines. It will work with both single and dual snorkel air cleaner assemblies when connected to the pre-heater tube (not included).
*It will also fit 455 Pontiac engines transplanted into 400 cars using the non-Ram Air Exhaust Manifolds.
FITMENT
The assembly will fit factory cylinder heads and blocks for the period indicated. Some adjustment (i.e. drilling/tapping) may be required for installation within the correct year of car but on a different year of engine.
