DESCRIPTION

OEM 1977-79 Pontiac 400 Air Cleaner Breather Tube with Grommet and Breather Filter replete with Chrome Valve Cover Cap. This is a set of components needed to install the 77-79 Pontiac equipped air cleaners correctly for the model years as listed. The breather tube is specific to the 77-79 Pontiac Engined 400 models that has been refinished and fits into the OEM style valve cover grommet. It is topped with a ribbed rubber adapter.  The breather filter is correct with insert and comes with a new black oxide clip. The final component is a new chrome twist on valve cover oil filler cap.

APPLICATIONS

This assembly is correct for the following models:

1977-79 Pontiac with 400 (350/455 too) engines and the large diameter air cleaner:

Trans Am Formula Firebird 

These parts are for cars equipped with Pontiac 350 / 400 / 455 engines with shaker or closed air cleaner assemblies. 

Note: This part differs from the 68-76 air cleaner tubes in the shape of the insert into the valve cover and the angle index to which it attaches to the air cleaner base. 

FITMENT

The assembly will fit factory original 77-79 OEM valve cover to air cleaner systems. If you have modified your valve covers or air cleaner, or if you are unsure of fitment, please inquire first prior to purchase to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.

WARRANTY

This assembly is guaranteed to match the item description – customers have up to 14 days to return the assembly after receipt if it is not as described.

RETURNS

Assemblies must be returned in the original packing – customers are responsible for return shipping charges. A refund will be issued upon receipt of the inspected assembly. Returns for non-fitment will not be honored – please ask questions first.

CLAIMS

In the event of shipping damage, customers must save all packaging and send 5 digital pictures so Musclecar Air Cleaners can initiate a shipping damage claim. This item is shipped insured for all destinations.
