1974 CHEVROLET CAMARO Z28 350 DUAL SNORKEL AIR CLEANER POINTS

DESCRIPTION

 

OEM 1974 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner. This assembly has been media blasted and refinished in the correct semi-gloss black finish to present a period correct image. The base features dual snorkels that are in good condition along with a new breather filter, new heavy duty air filter, and a recreated date stamp. The lid perimeter retains all of the factory stamping indentations - common since the tooling was used extensively in many applications over the years. The exterior features a reproduced Air Cleaner Service Decal (DW=74). The dual snorkel air cleaner is specific to original 74 cars with points; it will not fit HEI engines due to the smaller indentation on the rear. 

The beautiful chrome-plated reproduction lid is an excellent addition to the assembly and features a new seal to ensure correct sealing. To complete the package, a period correct wing nut is included. 

As an added value, an original Chevrolet metal breather tube that connects the air cleaner  to the valve cover is included to make installation more complete and original.

This assembly is in nice condition and will enhance your restoration. Best of all, it is a rare and genuine GM part!

APPLICATIONS

This assembly is correct for the following models:

1974 Chevrolet

Camaro Z28 with 350 Points Engines

The assembly is correct for cars equipped with points style distributor and either automatic or four speed transmissions. It will fit a myriad of GM cars from 68-74, but is technically correct for the early 74 models.

FITMENT

The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Quadrajet carburetors with a 5 1/8" diameter flange, as well as Holley, Carter, and Edelbrock variations (some adjustment to the carburetor alignment tangs may be required). Fits both A/C and non A/C cars and points style distributors. If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.

RETURNS

Assemblies must be returned in the original packing – customers are responsible for return shipping charges. A refund will be issued upon receipt of the inspected assembly. Returns for non-fitment will not be honored – please ask questions first.
