1973-79 Pontiac 350 400 455 Trans Am Formula Heat Riser Stove Assembly
DESCRIPTION
OEM 1973-79 Pontiac 350/400/455 Pre-heater Exhaust Manifold Stove with Tube. This part has been media blasted to a natural aluminum and covered with high heat clear. Made of stamped steel, it is structurally ready to install and presents an original fitment and appearance. All bolt holes are clean and all reinforcement areas are solid. There is some pitting on the back side that is exposed to the exhaust manifold, but out of sight once installed. This piece fits prominently on top of the driver side of the engine and is readily visible - a point that makes finding a very nice original piece very important for a nice restoration. This allows connection to the bottom of the air cleaner snorkel via the included 2" pre-heater tube.
This fits 1973-79 Pontiac 350/400/455 engines originally installed on original Firebird/Trans Am/Formula exhaust manifolds.
This part presents well and will replace the incorrect/missing piece for your restoration. Best of all, it is a genuine GM part!

APPLICATIONS
This assembly is correct for the following 1973-79 models:
Pontiac
Firebird / Trans Am / GTO / LeMans / Catalina / Bonneville / Grand Prix with 350/400/455 Pontiac engine. It will work with both single and dual snorkel air cleaner assemblies when connected to the pre-heater tube on the bottom of the air cleaner.
FITMENT
The assembly will fit factory cylinder heads and blocks for the period indicated. Some adjustment (i.e. drilling/tapping) may be required for installation within the correct year of car but on a different year of engine. It will NOT fit early Ram Air III Exhaust manifolds.
