DESCRIPTION
Custom 1973-76 Pontiac Trans Am Pontiac W-72 400 455 Shaker Air Cleaner. The assembly has media blasted and refinished in semi-gloss black to present a period correct image. The base features the W-72 specific oval snorkel in nice condition with the correct 6" opening, new white striped vacuum line, and a new heavy duty air filter. The exterior features a new Air Cleaner Service Decal. The base features the factory deep drop that fits factory Rochester Quadrajet required for proper shaker hood clearance, as well as the angled flange that parallels the base level with the sloped hood line. Includes the correct air temperature sensor with OEM clip as well.
A complimenting shaker lid is in nice condition as well. To complete the package, a new heavy duty air filter, period correct wing nut, a new filter breather with adapter are included to make installation more complete.
This assembly presents well and will enhance your restoration. Best of all, it is based on a genuine GM part!

APPLICATIONS
This assembly will fit the following 1973-76 models:
Pontiac
Trans Am with 400 / 455* Pontiac engine
*It will also fit 77-79 cars with Pontiac 400/455 engine.1977 W-72 cars used the round 4" air cleaner. Note that this air cleaner style is specific to 73-76 models in that the location of the valve cover breather inlet - it differs from the later models, but does include the correct breather tube for the early style.
Note: this will NOT fit the L80 403 Olds engines or Pontiac 301/Chevrolet 350 engines due to the offset of the shaker scoop, as well as the difference in carburetor flange drop.
(*)It will NOT fit FITECH EFI throttle body fuel injection housings - the drop requirements will cause massive interference with the side inlet/return fuel lines.
FITMENT
The assembly will fit factory style 4 barrel Quadrajet carburetors with a 5 1/8" diameter flange. If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.

WARRANTY
This assembly is guaranteed to match the item description – customers have up to 14 days to return the assembly after receipt if it is not as described.
RETURNS
Assemblies must be returned in the original packing – customers are responsible for return shipping charges. A refund will be issued upon receipt of the inspected assembly. Returns for non-fitment will not be honored – please ask questions first.
CLAIMS
