1973 - 79 PONTIAC TRANS AM FORMULA 4" FRESH AIR DUCT WITH METAL CLASPS
DESCRIPTION
OEM style 1973-79 Pontiac Trans Am Formula 350/ 400 / 455 & 77-79 Olds 403 Fresh Air Duct. This is the correct style 4" fresh air duct that was used on all Pontiac engines 1973-1979, as well as 77-79 olds 403 engines. Each is new and has never been used. The hose features a 4" diameter opening on both ends with formed metal locking clips. Unlike the cheaper plastic clips (and even cheaper flex hose with no clips), these are as close to the OEM fiber air intake hoses as possible, but far more cost effective. The 4" vinyl hose covers the spiral wrapped insert - providing resistance to moisture, as well as the strength required to bridge the gap between the air cleaner inlet and fender mounted fresh air duct. It installs on the either the oval to round adapter, or round air cleaner inlet and connects to the elbow duct on the inner fender well.
Specifications: These hoses are approximately 9" in the relaxed position and extend up to 14" to fit a myriad of requirements. Since they feature metal spirals, they will retain their uniform diameter throughout the hose once installed.
These parts have completely disappeared from the production process - we have a very limited number of these available.

FITMENT
The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel air cleaner assemblies with a 4" inlet as found on the 73-79 Pontiacs or on the 4" round snorkels starting in 77. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.

Assemblies must be returned in the original packing – customers are responsible for return shipping charges. A refund will be issued upon receipt of the inspected assembly. Returns for non-fitment will not be honored – please ask questions first.
CLAIMS
In the event of shipping damage, customers must save all packaging and send 5 digital pictures so Musclecar Air Cleaners can initiate a shipping damage claim.
