1970 MOPAR 383 MAGNUM AIR CLEANER CHARGER SUPER BEE CHALLENGER R/T
DESCRIPTION
OEM 1970 Mopar 383 Magnum Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner. This assembly has been media blasted and refinished in black wrinkle to present a period correct image. The base is in nice condition and features the dual snorkels with fully functional vacuum doors, new vacuum lines, and the correct ATS with push pin retainers. The base features the 5 1/8" flange that will fit OEM Carter AVS and Thermoquads and comes with the correct air cleaner service decal. The inside surfaces have been finished to prevent the typical surface rust that unfinished factory units were susceptible to.
The lid is in nice condition and includes a new seal and accepts the engine pie pan. Note that the wrinkle finish contains typical variations to match that of the factory production methods. A "Made in Canada" stamp has been added to the base and lid as a nice touch of authenticity. A heavy duty air filter and period correct wing nut are included to complete the assembly.
The assembly is complemented with a shelf stock reproduction Mopar licensed 383 Magnum pie pan; it was used as a display and shows paint removal under the wing nut (normal), but still presents nicely once installed. The assembly is priced lower accordingly.

FITMENT
The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Carter AVS carburetors or others with the 5 1/8" flange (as well as Edelbrock/Holley/Carter AVS carburetors with the 5 1/8" flange). It should also fit more modern fuel injection systems like FiTech, Holley Sniper, MSD; some systems may require a 1/4" air cleaner spacer to clear fuel rail inlets if they are raised. If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.
