DESCRIPTION

OEM 1970 1/2 -72 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 350 Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner. This assembly has been refinished in mid-gloss black finish to present a period correct image. The base features Z28 specific dual snorkels that are in good condition, along with a new heavy duty air filter, original GM dimpled flame arrestor screen, and original PCV tube. The points clearance is also correct for an original piece and is reflected in the pictures. The snorkels are in overall nice condition and feature the correct notches. A recreated date stamp has been added back to mirror the late 70 1/2 introduction of the 2nd gen F-bodies (due to the strike-shortened year and GMs desire to release the car at that time). The exterior features a reproduction Air Cleaner Service Decal (CU) that replaced the originally removed ACSD. The dual snorkel air cleaner is specific to original 70 1/2 - 72 cars, but will fit many other models as well.  

The new reproduction chrome-plated reproduction lid is a nice addition to the assembly and features a new seal to ensure correct sealing. There is a tiny nick on the rear of the lid - hard to see, but mentioned for clarity. A GM Licensed 350/360 Turbo-Fire decal is included to complement the engine. To complete the package, the assembly is topped off with a period correct wing nut. 

As an added value, an original flame arrestor to valve cover hose is included to make installation more complete.

This assembly is correct for the following models:

1970 1/2-72 Chevrolet

Camaro Z28 350 4V  with Points; fits both 4 Speed and Automatic transmission models

Note that this is the larger 17 1/8" air cleaner - not the smaller 15 1/8" Corvette style air cleaners currently reproduced for the 70-72 models. 

FITMENT

The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Holley / Quadrajet carburetors with a 5 1/8" diameter flange, as well as most Holley, Carter, and Edelbrock variations (some adjustment to the carburetor alignment tangs may be required). Fits both A/C and non A/C cars.If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.

RETURNS

Assemblies must be returned in the original packing – customers are responsible for return shipping charges. A refund will be issued upon receipt of the inspected assembly. Returns for non-fitment will not be honored – please ask questions first.
