DESCRIPTION

 

OEM 1968-72 Chevrolet Truck 4 Speed Manual Air Cleaner. This assembly has been refinished in the correct 60% gloss black finish to present a period correct image. The base features the single snorkel with ThermAC vacuum preheater door and new white striped vacuum lines along with the correct ATS sensor and retaining clip. The exterior is dressed with a GM licensed reproduction Air Cleaner Service Decal (KD=68-72 Truck). As a nice finishing touch, an original date stamp has been added for for further authenticity.  

 

A very nice original dimpled lid enhances the classic factory appearance and includes an original seal. To complete the package, a new heavy duty air filter and a period correct wing nut are included. 

This assembly is in nice condition and will enhance your restoration. Best of all, it is a genuine GM part!

APPLICATIONS

 

This assembly is correct for the following:

1968-72 Chevrolet/GMC

350/396/400/402 4 Speed Manual Transmission models with 4V carburetor

Note: it will also fit automatic equipped cars as well, but lacks the pre-heater provision. Note the the truck air cleaner assembly is specific to the truck platforms and differs from the car assemblies by way of both the size of the snorkel and its orientation.

FITMENT

 

The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Quadrajet carburetors with a 5 1/8" diameter flange, as well as Holley (non double-pumper), Carter, and Edelbrock variations without electric choke (some adjustment to the carburetor alignment tangs may be required). If you have modified your carburetor, intake manifold, or valve covers, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.

It will not fit 1968 models due to the orientation of the snorkel and filter breather outlet (all indexed to the LH/Driver's Side)

RETURNS

Assemblies must be returned in the original packing – customers are responsible for return shipping charges. A refund will be issued upon receipt of the inspected assembly. Returns for non-fitment will not be honored – please ask questions first.
