DESCRIPTION

Custom 1969-71 Chevrolet Chevelle Nova Camaro El Camino RS/SS 350/300HP Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner. This assembly has been refinished in the correct 60% gloss black finish to present a period correct image. The base features customized dual snorkels with ThermAC vacuum pre-heaters and new white striped vacuum lines along with the correct ATS sensor and retaining clip. The exterior is dressed with a GM Air Cleaner Service Decal (CR=1969/71). As a nice finishing touch, an original date stamp has been added for for further authenticity.  The RH (Passenger side) snorkel will accept the metal pre-heater pipe to appear correct (not included).

 

A reproduction chrome lid enhances the classic musclecar appearance and includes a new seal. To complete the package, a new heavy duty air filter, new breather filter, and period correct wing nut are included. To add further distinction, a GM licensed 350/300HP Turbo-Fire decal complements the overall assembly. 

Note that the factory never made a dual snorkel like this - it is a custom unit. It presents as a factory unit, but is certainly not an original. It is a unique one-off assembly that will make many assume it is a factory piece. It will also enhance breathing capability as well, since the dual snorkels double the single snorkel air intake volume.

This assembly is will fit the following:

1969-71 Chevrolet

350/300HP (69-70) or 350/270HP (71) Chevelle SS/Camaro SS/Nova SS /El Camino Automatic models WITHOUT A/C

Note: 4 Speed equipped cars featured the straight snorkel only for 69; for 70, all models came with the ThermAC preheather. 

FITMENT

The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Quadrajet carburetors with a 5 1/8" diameter flange, as well as Holley (non double-pumper), Carter, and Edelbrock variations without electric choke (some adjustment to the carburetor alignment tangs may be required) only on NON-A/C cars. If you have modified your carburetor, distributor, intake manifold, or valve covers, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.

It will not 1968 models as well, but will require the 69-71 style valve covers to conform to the orientation of the snorkels and filter breather outlet (all indexed to the LH/Driver's Side)

RETURNS

Assemblies must be returned in the original packing – customers are responsible for return shipping charges. A refund will be issued upon receipt of the inspected assembly. Returns for non-fitment will not be honored – please ask questions first.

CLAIMS

In the event of shipping damage, customers must save all packaging and send 5 digital pictures so Musclecar Air Cleaners can initiate a shipping damage claim.
