DESCRIPTION

 

OEM 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle/Camaro/Nova/El Camino/Malibu SS 396/427 Open Element Air Cleaner. This assembly has been media blasted and refinished in the correct semi-gloss black finish to present a period correct image. The deep drop base is in excellent condition and correctly features the 90 degree OEM flame arrestor tube. On the inside, the original GM stamped 4 dimpled flame arrestor adds the correct function and image, as well as the original quadrajet alignment tangs. 

 

A choice of lids accompanies the base. A beautiful reproduction chrome low profile lid; the original 427 survivor lid replete with air cleaner service instructions on the bottom; an original black lid refinished to match the base. Each comes with a choice of decals to include GM licensed 396 / 427 Cross Flags and Turbo-Jet 325HP-450HP depending upon your selection (we have just about every factory style Turbo-Jet HP, so if you need a different one, please let us know).  To complete the package, a new air filter and wing nut are included. 

As an added value, an original survivor GM stamped flame arrestor to valve cover elbow hose is included. It is aesthetically correct in every way with only minor hardening at one end.

 

This assembly is in nice condition and will enhance your restoration. Best of all, it is a genuine GM part!

The old adage "here today, gone tomorrow" applies to many of these unique assemblies. FITMENT

 

The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Quadrajet carburetors with a 5 1/8" diameter flange, as well as Holley (non double-pumper), Carter, and Edelbrock variations without electric choke (some adjustment to the carburetor alignment tangs may be required). If you have modified your carburetor, intake manifold, or valve covers, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.

WARRANTY

This assembly is guaranteed to match the item description – customers have up to 14 days to return the assembly after receipt if it is not as described.

 

RETURNS

Assemblies must be returned in the original packing – customers are responsible for return shipping charges. A refund will be issued upon receipt of the inspected assembly. Returns for non-fitment will not be honored – please ask questions first.

 

CLAIMS
