OEM 1978 Pontiac Trans Am 400 Shaker air cleaner in good condition. This part has been refinished to the original look of the 1978 cars featuring the 400 Pontiac engines. The base features a clean interior that is complemented with an original air temperature sensor and TVE sensor with clip, new heavy duty air filter, new  filter breather with clip and GM stamped adapter, and a new air cleaner service decal (PF=78). The single snorkel is straight and features new vacuum lines connecting to a functional ThermAC and pre-heater door inside, as well as the 4" inlet designed to be connected to the fresh air duct work (not included).

A new replacement shaker lid completes the assembly along with a period correct wing nut.

This assembly is correct for the following:

1977-79 Pontiac

Trans Am featuring the Pontiac 350 - 400 -455 engines

*while it will fit the 79, it is not technically correct; those L78 engines received the oval snorkel.

This assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Quadrajet carburetors with a 5 1/8" diameter flange, as well as Holley (non-double pumpers), Carter, and Edelbrock variations. If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.
