DESCRIPTION
OEM 1966-69 Mopar 426 2X4 Chrome Unsilenced Air Cleaner. This assembly is an original piece that retains the factory chrome on the lid, coupled with a refreshed original base. Overall, it presents well for a true survivor car, but could also be an easy candidate for fresh chrome. The top features the CAP nipple. The original AFB base is nice and features a set of 4 1/8" carburetor flanges that fit the Carter AFB carburetors, as well as the factory vacuum nipple.The interior of the top has been left raw and will need clearing to avoid further deterioration over time.
This assembly is in overall good condition and will enhance your restoration. Best of all, it is a genuine Mopar part!

A word about rechroming. Due to the extensive costs associated with maintaining EPA requirements, the cost of chroming parts has escalated. Many chrome shops have gone out of business as a result of the EPA's crackdown on environmental impacts. We have chosen to keep the top in original patina for a survivor - expect a cost of around $250 or more for making it perfect at your local chrome shop if that is your preference.

This assembly is correct for the following 1966-69 426 2x4 high performance models without the Air Grabber (N96) option:
Dodge
Coronet R/T, Super Bee, Charger R/T, Dart GTS
Plymouth
Road Runner, Superbird, GTX, 'Cuda, Satellite, Belvedere
FITMENT
The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel carburetors (Carter AFB) with a 4 1/8" diameter flange - it will NOT fit Holley, Carter, and Edelbrock variations with the larger 5 1/8" carburetor flange. If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.
