1968-69 PONTIAC FIREBIRD GTO 400 OVAL SNORKEL AIR CLEANER
DESCRIPTION
OEM 1968-69 Pontiac Firebird GTO 400 Oval Snorkel Air Cleaner. The assembly has been refinished in 60% gloss black to match the factory image. The base has the oval snorkel inlet which is in nice condition with correct white striped and black vacuum lines, correct Air Temperature Sensor, and a new breather filter replete with a ribbed GM stamped adapter hose. The exterior features a GM Air Cleaner Service Decal marked PR (1968-69). There are minor surface anomalies on the interior - not visible once installed, but mentioned for clarity.
An original lid installs on top of the new heavy duty air filter and comes with a period correct wing nut to complete the assembly.
As an added value, a reproduction Pontiac 400-4 decal is included (loosely installed) to enhance the overall image.
This assembly presents well and will return your A/F body back to the way the factory intended it to be. Best of all, it is a genuine GM part!

APPLICATIONS
This assembly is correct for the following 1968-69 models:
Pontiac
Firebird/GTO with 400 Pontiac engine
*It will also fit 350/455 Pontiac engines transplanted into 400 cars, but is not technically correct for their applications.
FITMENT
The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Quadrajet carburetors with a 5 1/8" diameter flange, as well as Holley (it will NOT fit double pumpers; i.e. models 4150/4160), Carter/Edelbrock variations without an electric choke (some adjustment to the carburetor alignment tangs may be required). If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.

WARRANTY
This assembly is guaranteed to match the item description – customers have up to 14 days to return the assembly after receipt if it is not as described.
RETURNS
Assemblies must be returned in the original packing – customers are responsible for return shipping charges. A refund will be issued upon receipt of the inspected assembly. Returns for non-fitment will not be honored – please ask questions first.
CLAIMS
In the event of shipping damage, customers must save all packaging and send 5 digital pictures so Musclecar Air Cleaners can initiate a shipping damage claim.
