1967 DODGE CHARGER CORONET R/T GTX 440 MAGNUM DUAL SNORKEL AIR CLEANER W/O CAP
OEM 1967 Mopar 440 Super Commando Magnum Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner. This assembly has been media blasted and refinished in black wrinkle to present a period correct image. The 18.5" top is in very nice condition and features the dual snorkels with CAP and correct clearance indentations. The matching base features the original 4 1/8" flange that will only fit original Carter AFB carburetors and includes a new Mopar seal. The inside surfaces have been finished to prevent the typical surface rust that unfinished factory units were susceptible to. An NOS Fram CA127 high performance stainless perforated air filter and period correct wing nut are included to complete the assembly. Note that the wrinkle finish contains typical variations to match that of the factory production methods. The base is specific to the B-body cars and features a full flange all around - not like the C-body items with the distributor indentation relief.
As an added value, the assembly is complemented with a shelf stock red 440 Super Commando pie pan - complete with patina - and a Mopar Air Cleaner Service Decal. Due to the discontinued MP parts, we no longer have new pie pans available.
Note that the CAP provision in the snorkel was not on every 67 car - it depended upon your car's build date, final location destination, and emissions requirements.
This assembly is in excellent condition and will enhance your restoration. Best of all, it is an ultra-rare genuine Mopar piece!

Note: this assembly is specific to the 67 440 cars due to the 18.5" diameter. It does not interchange with the C-body air cleaner assemblies that are slightly taller and feature a very different base plate (indented and raised flange). Later 69 dual snorkels reverted to the 17.5" air cleaner diameter with similar appearances, but featured CAP on driver side of the top.
FITMENT
The assembly will fit factory style 4 barrel Carter AFB carburetors; it will NOT fit modern iterations Edelbrock/Holley/Carter AVS carburetors with the 5 1/8" flange without the use of an air cleaner adapter.
If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.
