DESCRIPTION

1965 L79 327/350HP Chrome Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner. This is a very nice reproduction of the original L78 small block 327 dual snorkel assembly that includes everything to provide a period correct image. The assembly features the correct ridged base that retains the 5 1/8" carburetor flange; it also comes complete with a new flame arrestor tube with screen and lid seal (it does not have the small vacuum nipple original to L79 engines).  The top is triple chrome plated and features the correct oval dual snorkels that are attached to mirror the original assemblies. It is completed with a new heavy duty air filter element and wing nut.

The assembly presents well and will augment your restoration. 

APPLICATIONS

 

This assembly is correct for the following:

1965 Chevrolet

327/350 Horsepower Chevelle/Malibu SS, Nova SS

It will both work and look correct on many other models to include earlier 409 cars (single four barrel only), Impala SS cars, and 283/327/350/383 engines in a similar vintage era car.

FITMENT

 

The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Holley/Quadrajet carburetors with a 5 1/8" diameter flange, as well as other Holley (most 4150 styles), Carter, and Edelbrock variations without electric choke (some adjustment to the carburetor alignment tangs may be required). If you have modified your carburetor, intake manifold, or valve covers, please inquire first prior to purchase to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.

RETURNS

Assemblies must be returned in the original packing – customers are responsible for return shipping charges. A refund will be issued upon receipt of the inspected assembly. Returns for non-fitment will not be honored – please ask questions first.
