1962-67 OLDS STARFIRE 98 DYNAMIC CUTLASS CHROME AIR CLEANER
DESCRIPTION
OEM 1965-67 Oldsmobile Starfire 88 98 371/394 Chrome Air Cleaner. This is a factory original assembly that has been re-chromed a while ago. It features the top in good condition with typical aging patina and typical chrome flaws. The lid comes with the shorter snorkel - indicative of the early engines 62-65 style. The original base retains the 5 1/8" carburetor flange designed for Rochester Quadrajet 4 barrel carburetors. It has an original seal and shows two small indentations in the flange intake area. By adding the Olds Starfire pie plate that is included, the assembly will look right at home on a survivor.
Note that 442 models featured a slightly longer snorkel than this version....it will still work and look cosmetically correct, but is about 2" shorter than the correct snorkel.
It is in overall good driver condition and priced accordingly.....fully restored/re-chromed units would go for over $500.

FITMENT
The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Quadrajet carburetors with a 5 1/8" diameter flange - it will not fit earlier styles such as Carter AFB of WCFB due to the smaller diameter flange. It will fit carbs by Holley, Carter post 67, and Edelbrock variations. If you have modified your carburetor, intake manifold or valve covers, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.
