DESCRIPTION

OEM 1955 Chevrolet Impala Bel Air 150 210 PowerPak 265-4 Barrel Oil Bath Air Cleaner. This piece has been finished in the correct semi-gloss black finish to present a period correct image. The recessed oval snorkel is in very good condition and complements the starburst top nicely. The interior features a factory lid baffle replete with OEM spot weld marks the transfer to the exterior as original - a feature apparent as the factory produced. The base is very clean and correct for the 55 models. The exterior features a GM licensed reproduction Air Cleaner Service Decal correct for the era. The oil bath "spaceship" stands clean and ready for service. As an added value, the assembly comes with a period correct wing nut and stud to complement the installation. 

This assembly is in overall very nice condition and will enhance your restoration. Best of all, it is a genuine GM part!

APPLICATIONS

This assembly is correct for the following late 1955 models with the 265-4V Powerpack engine:

Chevrolet

Impala, Bel Air, Biscayne, Nomad, Cameo, Napco Truck, 150, 210, Apache

*The snorkel length is 5 1/2" from the flange to the base of the lid(correct for 55 - 56 models were 1/2" longer).

FITMENT

The assembly will fit factory Rochester and WCFB carburetors or other round entry carburetors featuring a 4 1/8" flange. If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored. Please note that due to the height of the assembly, it will not clear 57-58 hood lines.
