DESCRIPTION

OEM 1955-58 Studebaker 289 4V Oil Bath Air Cleaner. This assembly has been refinished to represent the factory appearance as produced for the 55-58 models. It features the era correct side draft oil bath which sits towards the passenger side from the carburetor. The assembly has been painted gold to match the upscaled image from the President model, while most Hawks would benefit from its nice presentation. The oil bath internals have been cleaned and the oil bath cup (base) is ready to provide years of service with a clear-coated interior. 

The exterior presents very nicely and is garnished with a period correct United Specialties oil bath air cleaner decal - installed in the original's position. The carburetor flange measures 4 1/8" - indicating it fits perfectly on top of the original Carter WCFB 4V carburetor. The assembly is completed with a period correct wing nut.

This is a nice assembly that will enhance your restoration. Best of all, it is a genuine Studebaker/Packard part.

STUDEBAKER

President, Golden Hawk, Commander, Provincial, and other sub-models

PACKARD

Packard Hawk (57-58)

It will fit a variety of cars from 1955-1964 as well, but is correct for the 55-58 models.

 

FITMENT

 

The assembly will fit factory 4 barrel Carter WCFB carburetors with a 4 1/8" diameter flange; it will not  fit Holley, Carter, and Edelbrock variations directly due to the larger 5 1/8" flange. If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.

RETURNS
